Crayon Lipstick Tutorial!

Using crayons to make homemade lipstick is very easy!

"Ingredients"
• 1/2 a crayon of your choice. (Or more than one crayon to mix and make your own color!)

• 1/2 tsp Shea butter or cocoa butter (Vaseline will also work but Shea butter or cocoa butter is recommended.)

•1/2 tsp jojoba oil (I used olive oil instead)

"Materials"

•pan

•stainless steal bowl

•container or empty lipstick tube

"Steps"

1. Fill your pan halfway with water and start heating it up on the stove. Put the stainless steal bowl on top of the pan. This will create a double boiler. It will prevent the ingredients from burning.

2. Put your ingredients in the stainless steal bowl. Make sure to unwrap the crayon!

3. Take a chopstick or something like one and start stirring the ingredients. They will eventually start to melt.  Once they are completely mixed and melted, take the stainless steal bowl off the pan.

4. This step must be done quickly or the lipstick will harden in the bowl. Quickly pour the melted crayon mixture (the lipstick) into your container or empty lipstick tube.

5. Carefully put your container of lipstick into the fridge until it hardens.

Now you have your very own crayon lipstick!!

        The lipsticks I made!

Please ignore the words at the top, I'm using my wreck this journal to swatch the colors.

Hope you enjoyed!!
